• Reflecting The Sound of A Generation - It's probably not your grandparents music (although some of it is). Sometimes it's loud, it's exciting, it's your personal experience with God.
• Accessible, Attractive, and Inviting - A non-judgmental atmosphere of celebration that invites active participation and worship of the Lord. We try hard to avoid the old traditions that confuse people. Freedom from obligation allows people the freedom to participate or observe until they are comfortable taking the next step.
• Appreciation of Worship - Through music, banners, and many other forms of worship, Christ can be presented in a fresh appealing and inviting way!
• Grace Receivers and Grace Givers - We as Christians desire to live under grace, to teach it always in our ministries and outreach, and to live as God's people under grace, not law or legalism.
• Reconciling, Affirming, and Inclusive - Not to be confused with inclusive language, Diversity is to be a family embracing the full spectrum of race, age, gender, family status, sexual orientation, economic status and denominational background.
• About Relationships, Not Politics - Because they have eternal dimension, relationships with God and with others are infinitely more valuable than programs and materials. Relationships always take precedence over programs. We emphasize people, not agendas.
• A Genuine Atmosphere of Acceptance - Our mission is to provide a safe place for all people to worship God. We as a church do not want to erect walls that keep out certain people that add texture and clarity to the message of grace. Our mission is to love unconditionally, to stand with the outcast, and to resist the temptation to judge harshly.
• Sermons That Are Positive and Practical - Bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to people of the twenty first century is a challenge that we have answered with sermons that are informative, entertaining, and practical. The sermons at DCFI are to help people live a productive and enjoyable life that is pleasing to God and to make it an enjoyable journey.
• Unleashing of Gifts - Equipping the people of God to discover their one of a kind gifts and unique calling to ministry. Leadership is about helping others discover the fulfilling work God uniquely designed them to do and then empowering them to do it.
