Prayer & Confessions for our Children
The bible says in Lamentations 2:19 that we should pour out our hearts like
water before the Lord and lift up our hands to him for the lives of our
children. Praying daily for our children is one of the most important things we
can do for them; they are the future generations who will take the gospel to the
lost and fulfill the great commission. These prayers and confessions will help
you to pray on a daily basis for your children's spiritual, emotional, physical,
and mental needs, protection, courage, and strength. These prayers and
confessions will help you to pray and confess the word of God over your
children.
Father, I put upon my children the full armor of God and I thank You that
they will be able to stand against the plots of the evil one. I thank You that
they are girded with Your truth and that they are fitted with the sandals of
peace. I thank You that they have upon them the breast plate of righteousness
and they stand as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I thank You for the
helmet of salvation and that they operate in Your wisdom and walk in the mind of
Christ. I thank You for the shield of faith that will protect them from any
fiery dart the enemy would throw at them. I thank You that as they hold up the
sword of the Spirit when the enemy comes at them, the spoken truth of Your word
will defeat their adversary.
(Ephesians 6:10-18)
Father, I thank You in Jesus' name that my children are protected from harm
as Your word says that Your angels are encamped about them.
(Psalm 34:7)
Lord, I thank You that You are my children's light and their salvation;
therefore they shall fear no one; You Lord God Almighty are the defense of their
life, they shall not dread.
(Psalm 27:1)
Lord, I thank You for giving Your angels charge over my children. I thank You
that Your mighty angels will guard them concerning all of their ways and will
lift up my children in their hands so they will not dash their foot against a
stone.
(Psalm 91:11-12)
Father, I ask in Jesus' mighty name that You would deliver my children form
wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith in You. I thank You Lord that
You are faithful and You will protect my children from the evil one.
(2 Thessalonians 3:2-3)
Father, I thank You that my children's minds are set on whatever is
honorable, whatever is right and pure, and whatever is lovely. I thank You that
my child's mind dwells on whatever is excellent and worthy of praise.
(Philippians 4:8)
I thank You, Father, that my children hide Your word in their hearts so they
won't sin against You.
(Psalm 119:11)
Father, I pray in Jesus' name that my children will put You before all
things, knowing that You are always with them and they will not be shaken.
(Psalm 16:8)
I pray, Father, that my children will know that as they seek wisdom and
knowledge from You they will be stable at all times.
(Isaiah 33:6)
Father, I thank You that You go ahead of my children and You are always with
them, You will never leave them or fail them. I thank You that as they come to
know that You will not forsake them they will not be dismayed.
(Deuteronomy 31:8)
Father, I pray that at any time my children are afraid, they will put their
trust in You. I pray that they will know that You have not given them a spirit
of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
(Psalm 56:3; 2 Timothy 1:7)
Father, I pray that my children will know that they have been chosen by You,
that they are dearly loved by You. Father, that in knowing this they will walk
in humbleness, kindness, and gentleness of heart and compassion.
(Colossians 3:12)
Father, as my children acknowledge You as their rock and their redeemer, may
they seek to make the words of their mouth and the meditation of their heart
pleasing to You.
(Psalm 19:14)
