A rainbow is beautiful not because of itself, but because of the individual colors abiding together as one.

What is small groups all about?
Why do we have small groups?
Many times when churches begin to grow,
some people lose the closeness and comfort that is felt in
smaller congregations and have a tendency to distance themselves
away from the church and can feel abandoned or even forsaken.
But, with small groups, we can still be
close to people, trust in those around us, and feel like part of a
family, all while focusing on Jesus and the ministry He has called
us to and upon His Word.
Small groups are designed to enrich each believers walk with God and
with man. Each group is structured to function in the 5 purposes
pointed out in "The Purpose Driven Life" series, as well
as learning and growing in other areas of our Christian life.
"Every day
they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They
broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and
sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all
the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those
who were being saved."
Acts 2:46-47
As you can see, the small groups concept is not new nor is it
ineffective. On the contrary, we see throughout the Bible that fellowship, or relationship, is God's desire for His children. And through this fellowship, people experience the love of God in many ways.
