Welcome to the DCFI website. As you tour this site our prayer
is that you will see the mighty work that God is doing in this
local body of believers. In June of 2000 a small group of
believers met in a club house in east Tulsa. That Sunday was
the beginning of what you will see here.
In Tulsa there are many churches. Most of them I believe are
preaching the gospel and trying to reach lost souls. The
difference between DCFI and those churches are small to us but
often big to them.
We believe the Gospel is for everyone, the bible says "to them
that believe he gave the power to become sons and daughters of
God".
DCFI is a church that preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ, with
an open and affirming heart. Many of the people in this
congregation have been rejected by other churches. Whether it
was because of social status, sexual orientation, or many other
different causes, they were rejected. While not everyone at
DCFI fits into those categories, we are a church that has
experienced grace and therefore we are to give grace.
Many of us at DCFI have spent much time researching the Word of
God to find out what it truly has to say about subjects that
churches have taken "religious" stands on. We believe that
there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.
Furthermore we feel that when taken into proper context, God's
Word does not discriminate over race, gender, sexual
orientation, or social status.
Maybe today as you read this letter and as you view this
website, you have been going through some questions of your
own. Maybe you have thought you would have to be content
worshiping God in a place where there was no Spirit-filled
believers, or maybe you thought you couldn't worship God at all.
If this is the case you have arrived at this website by divine
appointment. God desires for you to know that He loves you, He
has never written you off, but has written you down in the palm
of His hands. The Father longs to refill you with the love that
you have lost and to fill that emptiness in your life with His
love, His grace, and His Mercy.
Most of all He wants you to know He loves you. If you have been
the prodigal son, or daughter, there is good news for you today,
as you read this letter, the Father is running to meet you, to
put His robe upon you, and all the time still calling you, come
home, come home, all who are weary come home, earnestly,
tenderly Jesus is calling....
I pray that you will hear and obey His call... Welcome Home my
friend.
